Customer Review: Delicious but small portions
This quick fix rice noodle mix has an excellent flavor that is spicy, but not over the top hot, which my sensitive taste buds greatly appreciated. Two "bird's nests" of thin rice noodles were accompanied by a sauce packet that made for a relatively light sauce. It wasn't overly heavy in coconut milk, but rather a bit thin. The kaffir lime flavor and bamboo shoots were evident throughout. While we had dinner on the table in just ten minutes, and the taste was excellent, I was quite disappointed in the small servings. Even though we supplemented the two servings with a diced chicken breast and some additional vegetables, we were both hungry quite soon after finishing. Weighing in at only 410 calories for the entire package, this was one meal kit I could easily finish myself. Even with the "meal" additions, it made two very light meals. I purchased several packages during a sale on Amazon (product bonus discount, free shipping, the whole nine yards!), and still feel as though I got my money's worth, but due to the smallish portion sizes, I think it is worth that little bit of extra effort (which really isn't much) for me to stick with making homemade Thai curries. I did love that it came in boxes shipped straight from Thailand, authentic indeed!
